Paul, Marcel and Nick were invited to Ashton Park School Sports Partnership's glittering End-of-Season Awards ceremony on July 10th 2012, to receive, on behalf of Broad Plain, the prestigious Parkwood Leisure Community Sports Award. BPRFC has built strong links with both the Schools Sports Partnership, and local schools, over the last few years, and this trophy recognises the Club's commitment to working within the community.
The trophy follows 2nd place in the national RFU Presidents XV Awards for schools development, and First Place in the South West Division's version of the same category, both earlier this year. Us Junior coaches were well chuffed to receive such a big pot! It just goes to show how much the schools value the co-operation and support they receive from this Club, and we'll certainly be looking to do more of the same in future seasons!
A big thankyou also to Cherry Kraus and all her team at the SSP for giving Broad Plain the opportunity to host the Tag-to-Twickenham and World Cup tournaments, which are brilliant events for raising the profile of the Club and helping us recruit more youth players.
