There aren't many opportunities for pre-school kids to take part regularly in outdoor sports, so Broad Plain's Under-6 group provides a great opportunity for kids age 4 and up to burn off steam in the fresh air!

The squad do not play competitive games. The accent is on having fun, making friends, and playing lots of high energy games. The kids learn basic rugby skills, work on throwing and catching a ball, chasing, evading, and tagging, and working as a team. There's another pay-off; as the young ones grow older and move into the competitive squads, we find their increased rugby 'savvy' gives them a big advantage over the opposition, so our under-7 and under-8 squads tend to be very successful

You may come across groups who specialise in rugby based activities for the very young, however there are currently no Rugbytots, Little Rugby, Little Scrummers or Ruggerbeez in south Bristol. If your child is 4 or more, Broad Plain can offer the same activities, with real rugby coaches, at a real rugby club, at a fraction of the price. It's a no-brainer!
