Once again the boys took a couple of quarters to get into the pace of the game, and our visitors took advantage of some weak tackling with some good passing and clinical finishing. Things improved as the morning went on and the last 3 ten minute periods saw a win, a draw, and a one try defeat. Obviously results aren't the main thing, but it's great for the kids' confidence to know that they can compete with most teams when they put the effort in!
It was encouraging to see the ball being moved wide and everyone looking to pass when the time was right. Sam showed his pace to run in a couple of great tries, and there was also a brace for Leo - just reward for all the effort he put into tackling all morning!
