Plenty of great competition, lots of sunshine, enjoyable company and a burger and a pint at the end - all the ingredients of a great day!

The Broad Plain squad at the Festival had 12 players, who all had several opportunities to demonstrate their skills over our six matches during the day. All the matches were keenly contested and, while we didn't get the results we would have liked, we always demonstrated some excellent defensive and attacking skills during these matches. Our best and most enjoyable matches were against two friendly Welsh sides - Taff Wells and Forgeside.

As ever, Kingsword's organisation of the Festival was impressive. There were over 20 teams at the Festival all playing several matches over seven pitches. It's credit to Kingswood that everything worked like clockwork.
